Tiara is a very nice looking doe, very flashy. Her dam's udder attachment is one of the best in our herd, the highest butterfat in our herd, plus a nice rear udder. Tiara's sire always added milk to his daughter's udder. Sparkle's, Tiara's same breeding, but older, freshened with a beautiful udder and won a senior reserve grand as a first freshener. I have very high hopes for Tiara!
Tiara freshened with a nice udder, but I still had other people handle her in the ring in 2006. The other 2 year old I was showing earned two senior grands, so hopefully she will finish soon and I will then be handler Tiara. I'm very happy with Tiara, she's milking nicely as a 1st freshener. I expect her to earn her 2*M this fall. She needs to get more wieght on her to help smooth out her topline and a bit more maturity for her to place well in the showring, but she's proving herself in the milking stand and with her beautiful kids already! Her dam didn't mature completely until she was over 4 years old, so Tiara's got plenty of time, she's not going anywhere!
Tiara has always been one of those does that I just felt she could look great if she just put weight on. I worked for years to get her to put on weight, no luck. In summer of 2010 I gave her a dose of perscription iodine. Miraculous!! She has been putting weight on ever since and looks beautiful now. I hope to get an updated picture of her in 2011 after she kids. I'm so happy I finally found out what her deficiency was that was causing her problems. She really is a beautiful doe!
